Η Διεθνής Σύμβαση για τα δικαιώματα του Παιδιού με απλά λόγια

Η εκπομπή «Διηγήσεις» – «Ιστορίες και παραμύθια για μικρά και μεγάλα παιδιά» παρουσιάζει το Σάββατο 16 Μαΐου 2026, στις 17:00 ώρα Ελλάδας, στη Φωνή της Ελλάδας, το κείμενο της Διεθνούς Σύμβασης για τα Δικαιώματα του Παιδιού από το Συνήγορο του Παιδιού, σε απλή και κατανοητή γλώσσα για τους μικρούς και μεγάλους ακροατές της Ελληνικής Ραδιοφωνίας. Όλα τα παιδιά έχουν δικαιώµατα που προβλέπονται από νόµους και διεθνείς συµβάσεις. Το σηµαντικότερο κείµενο για τα δικαιώµατά τους αποτελεί η ∆ιεθνής Σύµβαση για τα ∆ικαιώµατα του Παιδιού του 1989, το οποίο περιλαμβάνει 54 άρθρα και έχει υπογραφεί από 191 χώρες. Το κείμενο της σύμβασης για τα δικαιώματα του παιδιού, αποτελεί νόµο και στη χώρα µας.
Ο Συνήγορος του Πολίτη ως ανεξάρτητη αρχή, προστατεύει τα δικαιώματα των πολιτών από το 1997. Ελέγχεται μόνο από τη Βουλή των Ελλήνων και οι υπηρεσίες του παρέχονται δωρεάν. Ένα από τα τμήματά του είναι ο «Κύκλος Δικαιωμάτων του Παιδιού», που λειτουργεί στην Ελλάδα από τον Ιούλιο του 2003 και αποστολή του είναι να υπερασπίζει τα δικαιώματα των ανηλίκων, δηλαδή όλων των αγοριών και κοριτσιών, έως 18 χρόνων. Ερευνά συγκεκριμένες παραβιάσεις δικαιωμάτων των παιδιών από φορείς ή άτομα, προτείνει τρόπους προστασίας των παιδιών παρακολουθώντας την εφαρμογή των νόμων και καταθέτει προτάσεις προς την Πολιτεία, ώστε να ληφθούν μέτρα προς το συμφέρον των παιδιών.
Ο Κύκλος Δικαιωμάτων του Παιδιού, συναντά τα παιδιά στους χώρους που ζουν και εκπαιδεύονται αλλά και όπου περνούν την καθημερινότητά τους, συζητώντας τα προβλήματα που τα απασχολούν. Η UNICEF και ο Συνήγορος του Παιδιού (Κύκλος Δικαιωμάτων του Παιδιού) συνεργάζονται στην Ελλάδα για την προάσπιση των δικαιωμάτων όλων των ανηλίκων παιδιών. Τα παιδιά από 0 έως 18 ετών έχουν φωνή και οι απόψεις τους και οι προτάσεις τους ακούγονται!

The International Convention on the Rights of the Child in Simple Terms Saturday, 16 May 2026, 17:00 Athens time
The program “Narratives” – Stories and Fairy Tales for Children and Grown-Ups” presents, on Saturday, 16 May 2026, from 17:00 to 18:00 (greek time) on Voice of Greece, the text of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, as presented by the Greek Ombudsman for Children, in simple and accessible language for both young and adult listeners of Greek Radio. All children have rights protected by laws and international conventions. The most important text concerning their rights is the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989, which includes 54 articles and has been signed by 191 countries. The Convention on the Rights of the Child is also part of Greek law.
The Greek Ombudsman, as an independent authority, has been protecting citizens’rights since 1997. It is accountable only to the Hellenic Parliament, and its services are provided free of charge. One of its departments is the Children’s Rights Department, which serves as the Ombudsman for Children in Greece. The department has operated in Greece since July 2003, with the mission of defending the rights of minors — all boys and girls up to 18 years old. It investigates specific violations of children’s rights by institutions or individuals, proposes ways to protect children while monitoring the implementation of laws, and submits recommendations to the State so that measures serving the best interests of children may be adopted.
The Children’s Rights Department meets with children in the places where they live and study, as well as where they spend their daily lives, discussing the issues that concern them. UNICEF and the Ombudsman for Children (Children’s Rights Department) cooperate in Greece to safeguard the rights of all minors.
