Με αφορμή τη γέννηση του Μίκη Θεοδωράκη στις 29 Ιουλίου 1925, η ERT World προβάλλει σε αποκλειστική μετάδοση τη συναυλία «Hommage à Mikis Theodorakis», τη Δευτέρα 29 Ιουλίου 2024, στις 18:00 ώρα Ελλάδας.
Η ελληνική χορωδία «Odyssée», υπό τη διεύθυνση του Ισίδωρου-Νικόλαου Κοσμίδη, ερμηνεύει τραγούδια του σπουδαίου συνθέτη στο Centre Oecumenique Saint-Marc, στην Grenoble της Γαλλίας.
Τον διευθυντή χορωδίας, Isidore–Nicolas Cosmides, συνοδεύουν τριάντα επτά τραγουδιστές και μουσικοί, που ερμηνεύουν με πάθος τα τραγούδια του Μίκη Θεοδωράκη μπροστά σ’ ένα ενθουσιώδες κοινό, Ελλήνων και Γάλλων της Grenoble.
Η ελληνική κοινότητα της Grenoble δημιουργήθηκε από πρόσφυγες της Μικράς Ασίας, μετά την Καταστροφή του 1922. Οι Έλληνες, φέρνοντας μαζί τους τις παραδόσεις και την πολιτιστική τους κληρονομιά, γρήγορα οργανώθηκαν σε συλλόγους με σκοπό τη διατήρηση της ελληνικής γλώσσας, του πολιτισμού και της ορθόδοξης πίστης.
Σήμερα, περίπου 200 ενεργά μέλη της κοινότητας συνεχίζουν την παράδοση της διατήρησης και της διάδοσης του ελληνικού πολιτισμού. Ο σύλλογος «Ορφέας» και άλλοι σύλλογοι συμβάλλουν ενεργά σ’ αυτή την προσπάθεια.
Το 60% των μελών της ελληνικής χορωδίας «Οδύσσεια» αποτελείται από Γάλλους. Οι χορωδοί αφιερώνουν χρόνο και προσπάθεια για να μάθουν τις ελληνικές μελωδίες και τη σωστή εκτέλεσή τους. Οι πρόβες περιλαμβάνουν όχι μόνο μουσική προετοιμασία, αλλά και εκμάθηση της ελληνικής γλώσσας και της προφοράς, για να διασφαλιστεί η αυθεντικότητα των ερμηνειών.
Η χορωδία συμμετέχει αφιλοκερδώς σε διάφορες εκδηλώσεις και φεστιβάλ, παρουσιάζοντας ένα ρεπερτόριο που περιλαμβάνει παραδοσιακά ελληνικά τραγούδια, βυζαντινή μουσική και σύγχρονες ελληνικές συνθέσεις.

The special tribute-concert to Mikis Theodorakis is coming on ERT World

On the occasion of the centenary of Mikis Theodorakis’s birth (July 29, 1925) ERT World will exclusively broadcast the concert “Hommage à Mikis Theodorakis”, on Monday 29 July 2024, 18:00 (Athens time).
The Greek choir “Odyssée”, under the direction of Isidore-Nicolas Cosmides, performs songs by Mikis Thodorakis at the Center Oecumenique Saint-Marc, in Grenoble, France.
Isidore-Nicolas Cosmides, the director of the choir, is accompanied by thirty-seven performers and musicians, who passionately interpret the songs of the great composer in front of an enthusiastic audience of Greeks and French residents of Grenoble.
The Greek community of Grenoble was formed by refugees from Asia Minor, after the Catastrophe of 1922. The Greeks, bringing with them their traditions and cultural heritage, quickly organized themselves into societies with the aim of preserving the Greek language, culture and Orthodox faith.
Today, approximately 200 active community members continue the tradition of preserving and disseminating Greek culture. The “Orpheus” club (Association Orphée) and other clubs actively contribute to this effort.
60% of the “Odyssée” choir members are French. The members devote time and effort to studying and performing the Greek songs optimally. Rehearsals include not only musical preparation, but also learning the Greek language and pronunciation, to ensure the authenticity of the performances.
The choir participates in various events and festivals on a non profit basis, presenting a repertoire that includes traditional Greek songs, Byzantine music and modern Greek compositions.
