The culmination of the festive events for the 60th anniversary of the priesthood of His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, as well as the Divine Liturgy on the day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, will be broadcast by ERT WORLD on August 13 and 15, respectively.
Specifically, on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 9:00 am (Athens time), ERT WORLD will broadcast live from the Metropolitan Church of Panagia Imvros, the Divine Liturgy that will be performed by His Eminence the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and accompanied by His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Mr. Theodorou and Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Mr. Epifaniou, as well as representatives of the Autocephalous Churches of Cyprus and Greece.
On August 13, 2021, His Holiness celebrates the 60th anniversary of his ordination as a deacon, which took place on August 13, 1961 in the same church of his birthplace.
On Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 10 am (Athens time), ERT WORLD will broadcast the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy live from the historic Patriarchal Monastery of Panagia Soumela, in Trapezounta.
It will be the first time after the recent completion of the restoration work at the monastery, that the Ecumenical Patriarch will perform the Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of Panagia Soumela.
