Ο δημοσιογράφος και συγγραφέας Στέφανος Δάνδολος είναι καλεσμένος της Σταυρούλας Καραλή στην εκπομπή «Τα Πρόσωπα της Εβδομάδας», που μεταδίδεται στη Φωνή της Ελλάδας, την Τετάρτη 4 Φεβρουαρίου 2026, στις 22:00 ώρα Ελλάδας.
Ο κ. Δάνδολος, συγγραφέας του βιβλίου «Φλόγα και Άνεμος», που τιμήθηκε το 2009 με το Βραβείο Μπότση για το σύνολο του έργου του, μας μιλά για έναν από τους πιο θυελλώδεις έρωτες του 20ού αιώνα: τον έρωτα του Γεωργίου Παπανδρέου, του «Γέρου της Δημοκρατίας», και της Κυβέλης, της μεγάλης πρωταγωνίστριας του ελληνικού θεάτρου.
Ο συγγραφέας φωτίζει μία από τις πιο πολυσυζητημένες προσωπικές ιστορίες της δημόσιας ζωής. Μια παράνομη σχέση που γεννήθηκε στη Χίο, σε μια περίοδο όπου και οι δύο ήταν παντρεμένοι: ο Γεώργιος Παπανδρέου με τη Σοφία Μινέικο και η Κυβέλη με τον δεύτερο σύζυγό της, Κώστα Θεοδωρίδη. Η εκπομπή στέκεται και στη γέννηση του παιδιού που απέκτησαν, ένα παιδί εκτός γάμου, αλλά και στον χωρισμό τους και στις συνέπειες που είχε στη ζωή και στη δημόσια πορεία τους.
Το βιβλίο «Φλόγα και Άνεμος» —που μεταφέρθηκε και στη μικρή οθόνη ως τηλεοπτική σειρά της ΕΡΤ και είναι διαθέσιμο στο ERTFLIX— βασίζεται στην εκτενή έρευνα του συγγραφέα και κυρίως, στις επιστολές που αντάλλασσαν οι δύο ερωτευμένοι. Επιστολές που αποτελούν πολύτιμα τεκμήρια τόσο για τη σχέση και την προσωπικότητά τους όσο και για το κοινωνικό και πολιτικό πλαίσιο της εποχής.

on “Remarkable Personalities”

Journalist and author Stefanos Dandolos will be the guest on Wednesday, 04 February 2026, at 22:00 (Athens time), on Voice of Greece, in the program “Remarkable Personalities”, presented by Stavroula Karali.
Stefanos Dandolos, author of the book Flame and Wind, which was honored in 2009 with the Botsis Award for his overall contribution to letters, speaks about one of the most turbulent love affairs of the 20th century: the relationship between Georgios Papandreou, the so-called “Old Man of Democracy,” and Kyveli, the iconic leading actress of Greek theatre.
The author revisits one of the most widely discussed personal stories of Greek public life—a clandestine relationship that began on the island of Chios, at a time when both protagonists were married: Georgios Papandreou to Sophia Mineiko, and Kyveli to her second husband, Kostas Theodoridis. The discussion also touches on the birth of the child they had together—born out of wedlock—as well as their eventual separation and the profound impact these events had on both their private lives and public paths.
Flame and Wind—which was later adapted for television as an ERT drama series —is based on the author’s extensive research and, above all, on the correspondence exchanged by the two lovers. These letters stand as invaluable historical documents, illuminating not only their emotional bond and personalities but also the broader social and political landscape of their time.
